Mc Galaxy
Galaxy is a Nigerian singer whose real name is Innocent Udeme Udofot. He has been in the music scene since 2014. He has done collaborations with other artists to make his career a success. He is known for some popular dance songs like Sekem. Sekem has been a success and the dance is a famous one on the African continent.
Sauti Sol
They are a Kenyan band of four who major in Afro-pop. They have been in the industry since 2006 and have had a successful music career since their breakthrough. They have produced many popular tunes that make people want to dance. Unconditionally Bae and Sura Yako are some dance tunes that got floors mad. The Sura Yako style is called the ‘lipala dance.’

The last few African dance years have been about Diamond Platnumz. This Tanzanian, whose real name is Nasibu Abdul Juma, has been producing hits right, left and centre. He popularised the Bongo Flava genre and has fused it with other styles from Africa and beyond, working with international names like Omarion and Morgan Heritage. He has been in the scene since 2009. One famous dance song he has made is ‘Oh Nana’ in which he featured the Nigerian artist, Flavour.
Davido
Most people know him by his stage name Davido, but his real name is David Adedeji Adeleke. Apart from being a singer, the Nigerian heartthrob is also a producer. He has produced several chart-topping albums in his career thus far. He is popularly known for the Afrobeat genre and has embraced dance in his songs. One of his famous dance songs is ‘Skelewu’ whose style spread to every corner of the continent.
JJC Skillz
He is a Nigerian known for singing and also as a record producer. His real name is Abdul Rasheed Bello. He has produced singles and some albums too. Skillz is known to use dance in his music, like the famous Afrikan Skank in which he included various dance moves from the diverse African cultures.
